Story of my Life (till End of 2000)

I was born the 19. of Mai '69 in Gelnhausen. This is a small city near the geographic center of Germany, but my family lives in a small village (~ 500 citizens) called Leisenwald, known for its "Leisenwälder Heiratsmarkt (wedding market)", which takes place all year on Whitsuntide. My parents and my brother own a farm there, which has grown by fusion with the farm of my brother's parents-in-law to some 200 milk cows and some 250 ha land (but parts of the farm are a little bit further away at Bad Soden and Salmünster, that is the part originally belonging to the parents of my sister-in-law).

Till 1988 I have visited various schools, at last the Wolfgang-Ernst-Gymnasium in Büdingen, where I finished school with my german Abitur.
After that, I began studies in electrical engineering at the BA Mannheim as a student of W.C. Heraeus, a world-wide operating company with headquater in Hanau, a city close to Frankfurt in Hessia.
When I had finished my studies in 1991, I began working as an employee of wsk Messtechnik in Rodenbach close to Hanau (in the meantime, the company has moved to the TP Hanau). There I do developments in soft- and hardware. In Sommer 1993 I decided to start a second study, this time of mathematics and physics in Darmstadt at the TUD.

In Mai 1999 I started my diploma work in the tqe (theoretical quantum electronics) group of Prof. Mulser, theme was the movement of charged particles in relativistic laser fields.

Since the end of my studies in the begin of the year 2000, again I work for my former company wsk Messtechnik, which has then moved to the technology park Hanau.

In spring 2001 I met Dorota Kapycinska, who at this time absolved an au-pair-year at the neightbors of my parents. She is from Sierpc, a city situated in Poland some 120 km west of Warshaw. In October 2001, me and Dorota did marry.

We have two daughters, Natalie (born 2002) and Viktoria (born 2005).

In 2007, I changed company and now I am working as Engineer for Panasonic Automotive Systems Europe GmbH in Langen, a city right in between Offenbach and Darmstadt. We are developing car infotainment system for European car manufacturers.

In 2010, our son Emil was born. Since 2011 I am working for I.G. Bauerhin GmbH in Rothenbergen as group leader for the control module development.
